Garlicky Bread
Nothing about this bread is good for you waistline, it is neither low in fat or calories. If you stumbled on to my blog looking for weight watchers, you’ve come to the wrong place. What this bread is is high in flavor, tasty and very garlicky, hence the name garlicky bread. The one healthy thing about this bread is the excessive use of garlic, after all garlic is a wonder drug..its been known to cure lots of ailments, therefore this bread must be a wonder drug! There, that should take care of those of you who were looking for healthy food. I love the flavor of garlic and decided to use both fresh and dried garlic. The only thing I will apologize for is the fact that it turns your breathe into a lethal weapon.
Garlicky Bread
1 loaf italian or french bread
1/3 cup butter, room temperature
2 tsp crushed garlic
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp thyme leaves
Slice bread into 1 inch thick slices. Mix butter, garlic powder, chopped garlic and thyme. Spread generously on both sides of the slices of bread. Put the slices back together to form a loaf and wrap tightly with foil. Place in a 400 degree oven and bake for 10-15 mins. Serve immediately.

Hi Christine, I’m so happy to hear that you like the sponge cake. I will try to post those recipes in the future. The shortening or ghee in the flour and when cooking the dhal puri, adding the oil on the outside keeps it soft.
