It’s no surprise that I spend a lot of time in my kitchen and have for as long as I can remember. My job is all about food (this blog) and over the years I’ve used and accumulated my share of kitchen gadgets and appliances. Some I’ve purchased and some I received from brands. While I probably have more than the average person, I do gravitate towards some more than others. I’ve put together a list of my must have kitchen gadgets and appliances that I think every kitchen needs. I know that everyone’s needs are different but I narrowed it down to tools that I find that most cooks will find useful! I’m going to keep it short so here goes my 7 must have kitchen gadgets and appliances.
MUST HAVE KITCHEN GADGETS AND APPLIANCES

Airfryer: This is my newest appliance I acquired through a partnership and I love it!! If you follow me on Instagram then you’ve probably seen me use it countless times. I made “fried” chicken legs, chicken breast tenderloins, turkey burgers, shrimp, salmon and a whole lot more and they have all turned out great! I like that it’s not too heavy so it’s easy to take in and out if you have it stored on a shelf or in a high cabinet and it’s super easy to clean.
Mini chopper: I use this when I need to quickly chop anything that’s not too large in volume. I also have a food processor for bigger jobs. I used this for chopping onion, making bread crumbs or chopping up seasoning for green seasoning. I highly recommend adding this to your collection if you don’t already have one.
Garlic press: Peeling and mincing garlic is one of my least favorite cooking tasks. It’s a small task that I find it to be super annoying. Using a garlic press is super easy and do you know that you don’t have to peel the garlic??
Lemon squeezer: Ever try making lemonade and squeezing a dozen lemons by hand? Well this gadget makes light work out of squeezing a lemon or lime and extracts more juice than if you were to do it by hand.
Foodsaver Vacuum Sealer: This is another gadget that I was gifted through a partnership and still use it to this day! I purchase my meat in bulk and separate them into smaller packages for freezing and this foodsaver has been a lifesaver. It not only seals the meat in the package, it sucks the air out of the bag thus reducing the chances of freezer burn.
Marble rolling pin: I know it might seem a bit much but a marble rolling pin has its purpose. I’ve had a traditional rolling pin and haven’t used it since I got this one. What’s so great about it? The weight…because it’s heavy, rolling out dough is super easy. Some doughs are a bit more elastic that other and need the extra weight for it to comply when rolled.
Pressure cooker: My stove top pressure cooker is my ride or die! I’ve always had one and my mom always had one as well. I used it to reduce the cooking time and to tenderize meat. I’ve used it to make soups, stews, rice and even ribs. I use my old school stove top pressure cooker but there’s a ton of electric ones available.
