Pineapple BBQ Burger

I don’t know about you but when it’s summer, I try to grill out as much as possible.  I don’t wait for a special occasion to grill.  Any day is a good day for grilling!  We have an electric grill, so it makes it easy to just turn the grill on and it’s ready in about 10 minutes.  We used to have a charcoal grill, and while we LOVE the flavor of charcoal, it just simply took too long to heat to the right temperature, so we didn’t use it as much.  Since the switch, we grill just about any day of the week once the weather is good!  I gifted my husband a smoker for Father’s Day this year, so we will be cooking out even more!

Grilling can be intimidating and sometimes we tend to make the same recipes over and over but there are many everyday recipes that can be made on the grill.  It’s also a great time to save on ingredients to make those meals because supermarkets tend to run promotions this time of year!  The It’s BBQ Time promotion at Publix is going on now until 7/30/21 where you can save on items that are perfect for summer grilling.  Head online on 7/17/21 to see a complete list of products and items that are a part of the It’s BBQ Time promotion at Publix, or pick up a an Extra Savings flyer in the store. If you don’t see the flyer at the front of the store, be sure to ask customer service! You can also look for the savings highlighted on the shelf in the store.

Here are some of the promotions which are available for purchase at this price until July 30:

$2.99 Tabasco Sauce 5-oz your choice

$11.99 Chop House by Holten Steak Burger 32-oz your choice (frozen)

$1 off any 2 Borden Cheese Singles 8–12-oz

This is the perfect time to head to Publix and grab what you need to make a delicious summer meal.  I purchased the Tabasco Sauce, Chop House by Holten Steak Burger and Borden Singles and made a Pineapple BBQ Burger that’s out of this world!  Using the ready-made burger patties saved a lot of time and made it super easy to make this recipe.  You can use either a fresh pineapple or canned pineapple slices to make it even more stress free.  Borden Singles are the great accompaniment for this burger and melts so well!  I brushed the burger patties with my favorite BBQ sauce to kick it up a notch.  For the burger sauce I made a spicy mayo with mayo, Tabasco Sauce, and a touch of honey.  The spicy sauce brings a touch of heat to offset some of the sweetness of the pineapple BBQ burger – it was amazing!  Do yourself a favor this weekend and make this burger!  If you’re not a fan of pineapple with meat, this burger will change your mind!
