A Taste of Summer….Barbeque Cheddar Sliders
Who doesn’t love sliders? I know I do! There is something about a 3 bite mini burger that’s just delicious and so handy. I was spending the day with my very pregnant cousin Kanema and she requested burgers. According to the book of rules you can’t say no to a pregnant woman, especially one that’s due in a week. I decided to make us very dainty, ladylike sliders. I rummaged through the refrigerator and came up with this simple but delicious combo. We had these with Tropical Punch and Strawberry ice cream cones..yummy!! The pregnant lady was very happy, so the meal was a success.
Barbeque Cheddar Sliders
2 lbs 80% Lean Chopped beef
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp ginger powder
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup of your favorite bbq sauce
1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
1 green onion finely chopped
16 mini sandwich buns
Toppings
Barbeque Sauce
Salsa con Queso
Plum Tomatoes sliced
Combine the first 10 ingredients and mix well. Form into 16 patties, about the size of your palm. Place on a hot grill 2 mins per side. These are tiny, so they cook very quickly. Brush with 1 tbs of bbq sauce just before taking the patties off the grill. To assemble place one patty on the bottom of the mini sandwich bread, place 1 slice of tomato on top of the meat patty. Spread 1 tbsp of salsa con queso on the top of the bun and place the sandwich and voila! Your very own homemade sliders!
I adore sliders and these look wonderful. Love the spices. Great summer fare.
You know your pics are pure food porn right? 🙂 I’m not complaining!
