If you follow me on Snapchat (Jehancancook) then you probably have seen that I make smoothies regularly for my husband. We’ve been making it so often in the past couple of months that we purchased a new Oster blender because they are great blenders for making smoothies.
We’ve had ours for a few months now and honestly are completely impressed; so if you’re looking for a great smoothie blender the Oster®Blend-N-Go®MyBlend® is a great option, you can just fill , blend and go. I make a variety of smoothies; all fruit, all vegetable and green smoothies but sometimes that he asks for protein smoothies so I usually add oats and peanut butter to give it a boast. He loves the flavor of peanut butter but it’s a bit high in calories so I was pleased to find Jif™ Peanut Powder at Walmart; it has 85% less calories than peanut butter, no sugar(not a low calorie food) and has the same great peanut flavor so it’s perfect for smoothies and even baking. Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Greek Nonfat Yogurt is a great addition to any smoothie as it’s has 15 grams of protein in every 5.3oz serving. Adding a few tablespoons of the Jif peanut powder makes this smoothie tastes almost like a Caribbean peanut punch! I add banana and oats to the smoothie to not only thicken it but the oats helps to make you feel full; I always add oats to breakfast smoothies, that way he feels as though he’s had a meal. Do you drink smoothies? What is your favorite smoothie combination?
