  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 slices bread

Egg Custard

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:
    In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, sugar, and 1teaspoon ground cinnamon until well combined. Set aside.
  • Assemble the Stuffed French Toast:
    Spread the cinnamon sugar butter mixture evenly on one side of 3 slices of bread. Top with a plain slice of bread together with the buttered side facing inward to create stuffed sandwiches.
  • Prepare the Egg Mixture:
    In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, remaining ground cinnamon, milk, and heavy cream until well combined.
