Bbq Jerk Wings

The secret to this recipe is allowing the wings to marinate overnight. The jerk marinade, dry jerk seasoning and chicken bouillon powder gives these chicken wings spicy, bold jerk flavor. Just before the wings finish cooking, they’re brushed with a barbecue sauce that caramelizes and balances the heat of the jerk seasoning.

Tips for the Best BBQ Jerk Wings

Marinate Overnight: The longer the chicken marinates, the deeper the flavor becomes. Overnight is ideal, but even a few hours makes a noticeable difference.

Don’t Skip the Dry Rub: Using both wet jerk marinade and dry jerk seasoning creates a richer, more intense flavor that stands up well to grilling.

Wait to Add the Sauce: Brush the barbecue sauce on during the last few minutes of grilling. Since barbecue sauce contains sugar, adding it too early can cause it to burn before the chicken is fully cooked.

Cook Until Perfectly Done: Chicken wings should be cooked until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F. A meat thermometer is the easiest way to ensure perfectly cooked wings every time.
