APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL

Ingredients

  • Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 4 whole cloves
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup diced apple
  • ΒΌ cup brown sugar
  • Crushed walnuts
  • Maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • In a pot, place oats, water, milk, cinnamon stick, cloves, pinch of salt and diced apple and stir together.
  • Place pot over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 15 minutes until the apple is tender but not mushy.
  • Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. You can also sweeten with maple syrup or honey.
  • Place into 2 bowl and top with crushed walnuts and a teaspoon of maple syrup.
