Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Let puff pastry stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes until defrosted but not soft.
Unfold and roll to form a slightly larger rectangle.
Slice guava paste into strips and cut cream cheese into strips.
Place 9 pieces of guava paste, 3 in a row, equally spaced. Top each piece of guava paste with 1 piece of cream cheese.
Mix egg yolk with water. Brush in between the guava paste with egg yolk.
Place the second sheet of puff pastry that’s been rolled slightly larger, on to.
Press in between and then cut using a knife to form 9 individual pastries.
Place on a baking sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with egg wash then place into preheated oven and bake for 15-17 until golden brown.
Place on a wire rack to cool.
